A new colour for a new time

Since the start of 2022, when the world-famous Pantone Institute announced its Colour of the Year, we’ve been coming across lilac and lavender shades everywhere – not just in fashion and showbiz, but also in furnishing concepts all over the world. And of course here at König + Neurath we’re also planning to use Very Peri in our style collections – as long as it suits the work culture and corporate image of our customers.

The name comes from the periwinkle plant, that little evergreen with blooms shimmering in a delicate lilac. And you can safely describe this colour as a pale lilac blue – in fact you could even call it that alongside its light-hearted name. Pantone 17-3938 Very Peri was created by the Pantone Institute as a new colour, an all-time first in the history of the institute, which is famous for its international colour system.

“With its courageous presence” it encourages “personal inventiveness and creativity”, - this description of Very Peri comes from the ranks of trend researchers and creative minds who defined the shade. Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute, states that the Pantone Colour of the Year reflects “what is taking place in our global culture, expressing what people are looking for that colour can hope to answer.”
