König + Neurath has partnered the long-standing football club through the office design process
Eintracht Frankfurt’s new ProfiCamp building was officially declared open in September with an official ceremony and unveiling of the stone eagle in the foyer. It is located right next to the stadium and provides a new home with a floor area of approx. 11,000 square metres for the Eintracht family, which was previously spread across three sites. The building complex consists of two elements with a shared intersection on the ground floor, which houses the reception area and a staff canteen. The five-storey Building A contains media facilities, along with the office and administration units. Directly connected to this unit is Building B, a three-floor structure exclusively reserved for the professional players.

There are around 250 workspaces in Building A’s office and administration unit, which were planned and designed in a real team effort by Eintracht Frankfurt, the interior design firm XQUADRAT and König + Neurath. The outfitting basis for the new office spaces was a K+N WORK.CULTURE.WORKSHOP, in which team structure and mentality were discussed and visualised as a group, looking at aspects such as agility, management style, technology and other dimensions. Once the work culture had been analysed, the results were taken as a whole, translating them into space solutions and outfitting concepts – tailored closely to the specific needs of the Eintracht team.

The contemporary working environment for employees comprising administration, marketing and other zones firstly reflects the design idiom and architecture of the building – but it’s also consistent with the corporate identity of the Eintracht Frankfurt brand in look, feel and materiality. This authentic office setting now provides staff with optimum conditions. “We received lots of positive feedback from our employees. We look forward to seeing how things develop, including how this translates into productivity. We have short distances, we have better communication between one another, the employees feel comfortable,” says Marcus Bingenheimer-Zimmermann, head of Human Resources.
