Supervisory board of König + Neurath AG
Otmar Stein resigns from office as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at König + Neurath AG and leaves the board as of 31.12.2020.
On 1st September 2020, Otmar Stein was able to celebrate his 80th birthday in good health. “With this new decade, it seems prudent firstly to review the current situation, but also to find a new direction for the future,” said Otmar Stein. “There are several reasons why, at 80, one should step back and hand over responsibility to a younger generation.”
That’s why he has reached a decision personally and in consultation with the stakeholders – to resign from office as chairman and leave the supervisory board as of 31.12.2020.
After more than 50 years working for König + Neurath AG, where his most recent operational responsibility was from 1996 to 2005 as Sales & Marketing Director, he moved onto the König + Neurath AG supervisory board on his retirement in 2005 at the age of 65. When Egon König passed away in May 2019, the stakeholders appointed Otmar Stein as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Otmar Stein, a highly respected figure within the industry, was passionately engaged in his role at König + Neurath AG for an extraordinarily long time, holding a position of responsibility and collaborating with Egon König to contribute significantly towards the company’s success on the office furniture market.
He will continue to carry out his duties as usual until 31.12.2020, when he will step down from his position at König + Neurath AG. The stakeholders would like to thank Otmar Stein most sincerely in recognition of his outstanding services and his close association with the company, and would like to express their appreciation and in particular wish him good health on his new path.
