Personnel changes at director level
The Supervisory Board has appointed Mr Dirk Offermanns to the position of Sales Director as of 1st September 2017.
Over the past few years, König + Neurath AG has been successful in shaping a positive future for both its main business activity in Germany and its export trade. The company has developed and strengthened partnerships with a number of promising dealers. The office and workplace configurations exhibited at Orgatec 2016 are a record of how the company's portfolio has changed with regard to areas of focus as well as products. We will adopt a consistent approach in order to achieve continued expansion of this position, whilst also concentrating on our export activities and supporting strategic customers overseas.
Dirk Offermanns appointed as Sales Director
To reinforce this development, the Supervisory Board decided to increase the number of directors. Dirk Offermanns (52), is a Business Administration graduate who began his career in the sales department at Voko GmbH & Co. KG. Then he moved to Vitra GmbH, taking on the role of Area Sales Manager in North-Rhine-Westphalia, following which he was Managing Director at the home and furniture company Mathes GmbH & Co. KG in Aachen and Cologne. From 2002, Dirk Offermanns took on various regional sales responsibilities as Sales Director at Steelcase Werndl AG. At the start of 2013 he moved to Object Carpet GmbH, taking the role of Sales Director for Germany and Company Secretary. In this position he intensified cooperation with architects and network partners, in which one focus was innovative products for the office and home dealerships sector.
As Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr Carl-Christoph Held will focus primarily on the company's strategic development and the König + Neurath brand, alongside the existing areas of Finance, IT and Human Resources. Mr Dirk Fischer will be responsible for the Technology and Purchasing business areas.
The Supervisory Board views this expansion to the directors' ranks as another step in the company's development. "In Mr Dirk Offermanns we have gained not only an industry specialist, but also the perfect personality for implementing our growth targets. We now have an experienced team at the helm of this family business. We expect this new extended board of directors to bring a positive impetus to ongoing corporate development."
